Civil War–dated partly-printed DS, signed "Appd., Turner Ashby," one page, 8 x 10, March 3, 1862. Military accounting document, the header hand-corrected from "The United States" to "The Confederate States," for "use of Blacksmith shop coal and tools sixteen days, Quarters for 55 men, sixteen days," amounting to $28, with the charges approved at the lower left by Turner Ashby. In fine condition.
