LS in French, signed “Frederic,” one page, 7.25 x 9.25, January 1, 1775. Letter to a lieutenant, in part (translated): "It is with great satisfaction that I have seen, by the plans which you addressed to me on the 13th of this month, and which I am returning to you herewith, how usefully you have employed your time in perfecting yourself in the trade you have taken up." In fine condition.
