Vintage ink signature, “Best wishes, Frank Sinatra,” on the inside of a 10.75 x 9 souvenir photograph album from Monte Proser’s Copacabana on 10 East 60th Street in New York City; the album contains a photo of five U.S. servicemen celebrating at the nightclub. In fine condition. An early autograph of the legendary crooner.
Frank Sinatra had a long and historic association with the famed Copacabana nightclub in New York City, where he performed frequently during the 1940s and 1950s at the height of his early career. He made his Copacabana debut in 1940 while still singing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and later returned as a solo headliner, drawing devoted crowds of ‘bobby soxers’ and contributing to the nightclub’s reputation as a showcase for top-tier talent. Throughout the years, he remained closely associated with the venue, which also hosted other major performers such as Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Nat King Cole during its golden age.
