American politician and lawyer (1756–1836) who served as vice president under Thomas Jefferson, but is most famously remembered for killing his political rival Alexander Hamilton in an 1804 duel. Cashier of the Manhattan Company check, 6.75 x 2.75, filled and signed by Burr, "A. Burr," payable to "G. P." for $85, no date. In fine condition.
