Smith of Urquhart for nonpayment of a debt, signed at the conclusion in ink by Sir Walter Scott. Also endorsed on the reverse by Scott, "[McQueen] Mackintosh, W.S." In very good to fine condition, with light staining along the right edge, touching but not adversely affecting the signature.
