Two items: a TLS signed "John A. Powers," one page, 8 x 10.5, NASA letterhead, July 12, 1961, in part: "Thank you for your letter to the Project Mercury Asstronauts. They have requested that I extend their regrets, that due to their training schedule they could not answer your letter personally"; and a Project Mercury FDC, signed in black ballpoint, "'This is Mercury Control,' Shorty Powers." In overall fine condition.
