In part: "The tragedy in the jungles of Guyana has touched us all in some way. Some simply ask, 'How could this have possibly happened?' I don't claim to have the answer, but I will make some observations.
All people are looking for something or someone to hold onto. The pace of life today is too fast, and we seem to gain only temporary comfort and satisfaction from our material possessions. The future on this earth is uncertain. The upheaval we see about us gives the impression that there is no 'rock in a weary land.'
I am grateful that we can know the Rock of Ages, the ever-lasting Rock, the Lord Jesus Christ. This past year you have helped High Flight, through your support and prayers, to share this Rock with people in Canada, Russia, Finland, Scotland, the Isle of Man, the Irish Republic, and Northern Ireland, as well as 21 of the United States. Your support has also enabled us to speak with young people in 20 Project Uplift school programs.
In all of our programming and projects, it is our desire to direct people to the only One who can bring light to a darkening world, the Lord Himself. He is the One to whom we look for peace and eternal satisfaction. He is the One who challenges us to 'Let (our) light so shine before men that they may see (our) good works and glorify (our) Father which is in Heaven.' Matthew 5:16." In very fine condition.
