Four-color 17.5 x 24.5 lithograph poster of William F. Cody, entitled “Col. W. F. Cody, ‘Buffalo Bill,’” showing him in a bust-length portrait, facing slightly left, wearing a wide-brimmed hat and fringed buckskin jacket with a red neckerchief, set against a stylized gold background, a later museum-issued example after the original circa 1888 design by A. Hoen & Co., Baltimore, whose credit is printed above the plate number “9.” Lower margin bears a copyright caption to the “Buffalo Bill Museum, Golden, Colorado,” and notes that the poster was “Published by Washington Avenue Gallery, Golden, Colorado. All rights reserved,” indicating production for museum sale. Framed to an overall size of 23 x 30. In fine condition.
