Description

English physicist (1891–1974) who was awarded the 1935 Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of the neutron in 1932, thus paving the way towards the fission of uranium-235 and the creation of the atomic bomb. Fountain pen signature, "J. Chadwick, 5 November 1959,” on an off-white 5.5 x 3.25 card. In fine condition.
