Artist and designer (1848–1933), son of Charles Tiffany, who worked in the decorative arts and is best known for his work in stained glass. ALS signed “Louis C. Tiffany,” one page, 5.25 x 8.25, blindstamped "T" monogram letterhead, July 26, 1877. Handwritten letter to Rodney Mercer, in full: "Your note was received some time ago, but owing to my intended trip to Africa I have been so long that it is only now, just before my departure, I can find time to respond. Hope you will excuse me for being so dilatory." In fine condition.
