Description

ALS signed “Jacqueline Onassis,” one page, 5 x 7.5, personal 1040 Fifth Avenue letterhead, April 26, 1975. Handwritten letter to Blake Leach, the English teacher of John F. Kennedy, Jr., at the Collegiate School in New York City, which reads: “All Over Town sounds a perfect choice for a large group of boys with spring fever. Thank you for writing to me about it. If you contact Nancy Tuckerman here 628-2226, or Olympic 956 8483, I’m sure she can arrange it for whatever day you would like. Have fun!” In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA, and the original mailing envelope, hand-addressed by Kennedy, who adds her address on the reverse flap: “Onassis, 1040 5th Ave NYC.”

Nancy Tuckerman (1928–2018) was the White House Social Secretary during the Kennedy administration. After the Kennedy assassination, she remained the personal secretary to Jackie Kennedy until the latter's death in 1994. In the 1970s, Tuckerman worked in public relations for Olympic Airways, which was owned by Aristotle Onassis; in that role, she helped develop the first New York City Marathon.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
