- ALS in French, signed "Lafayette," one page, 6 x 7.75, no date, in part (translated): "Mr. Lafitte…gave me a bill of 700. But I missed the time to have it postmarked, and I am sending you the letter and the bill thinking that you might still have a way to send them off."
- ADS in French, signed "Lafayette," one page, 6 x 7.75, May 21, 1829, in part (translated): "I am sending to Monsieur Chevalier the amount for several subscriptions, asking him to mark 'paid' next to the names of the subscribers."
In overall fine condition, with a couple of light stains.
