ALS signed “R. R.,” one page, 7.5 x 10, June 1, 1967. Handwritten draft of a letter to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Roman Gabriel, thanking him for a gift to his son. In full: "I must apologize for letting so much time go by without writing and I really have no excuse other than the pace up here which seems to be long on problems & short on time. It was very kind and thoughtful of you to send the autographed picture to the 'Skipper' and he was really thrilled. It's on his bedroom wall, put up by himself personally. He let his Mother & me hang the rest. Speaking of pictures the enclosed snap is of your T-shirt which he wears on every occasion. He has a long way to go to fill it but he figures it fits fine right now. Again thanks very much and know that you have a family of fans up here." In fine condition, with light fading to the page from prior display, not affecting the text.
