Description

American businessman (1868–1938) who founded the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, one of the first global makers of automobile tires. ALS signed "Harvey S. Firestone," one page, 5.75 x 7.75, The Savoy Plaza letterhead, September 7, 1928. Handwritten letter to Mr. Briggs, in full: "I thank you for permitting Raymond come in and having dinner with me we went to a show and he stayed over night with me I hope he pass all his exam this fall." In very good to fine condition, with a block of mottled toning, affecting only appearance. The first ALS from Firestone that we have ever offered.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
