Engineer and businessman (1846–1914) best known for the invention of the air brake and for his energetic promotion of AC power distribution. TLS signed “Geo. Westinghouse, Jr.,” one page, 5 x 8, personal letterhead, January 20, 1889. Letter to H. M. Byllesby of Pittsburgh, in full: "Enclosed letter sent you for your attention. I of course know nothing of the transaction. Please acknowledge receipt of it at least, and give it such further attention as the subject demands." In very good to fine condition, with scattered light soiling.
