Description

DS, signed “Bill,” one page, 8.5 x 11, May 10, 1990. Memorandum regarding the "Governor's Commission on Adult Literacy White Paper," in part: "For the most part it looks good and seems comprehensive. I know that you are proud of all that you have been able to accomplish in this past year as am I. One of the most outstanding aspects of the AAPLE Report was that you targeted several specific populations. As you remember, I felt that was an innovative approach and part of what made the goals achievable. I do not see some of those targeted populations reflected in this paper in any major way and would hope that you might highlight them more. I am thinking primarily of working Arkansans, those in the court system (probation), prison, and on welfare. Especially with the good job we are doing on welfare reform, I would like it to get more mention." Below, Clinton adds: "We have to keep up the pressure to increase number of persons by category." In fine condition.

From the personal collection of a lifelong collector, teacher, and traveler with a passion for world history. His collecting years ranged from the 1970s to the present day, meaning that several of the premier pieces have not been on the market in decades.
