Soviet politician (1906–1982) who served as General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1964 until his death. TLS in Russian, one page, 8 x 12, Zaporizhzhia Regional Committee letterhead, April 2, 1947. Letter requesting urgent food assistance for workers and their dependents in the subsidiary farms of industrial enterprises in the Zaporizhzhia region, who had been removed from state food supply the previous September. In very good to fine condition, with reinforcement to torn file holes along the back side of left edge.
