Bonaparte orders a police report on an émigré

Manuscript DS in French, endorsed at the upper left, “Bonaparte,” one page, 8 x 12.5, October 20, 1801. Letter submitted by Aloph Aimé Charles Lagarde Chambonas, who asks to be withdrawn from the list of émigrés. Bonaparte forwards the request to the Minister of Police in order to have a report on this person, endorsing the letter at its head. The document retains its red wax seal on the first page. In fine condition, with a diagonal crease to the upper right corner.
