Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 17 x 13, December 13, 1906. President Roosevelt appoints Friench Simpson as "an Assistant Surgeon in the Public Health and Marine Hospital Service of the United States." Signed at the conclusion in ink by President Theodore Roosevelt, and countersigned by Secretary of the Treasury Leslie M. Shaw. The gold foil seal affixed at the lower left remains intact. Nicely archivally double-matted and framed with an oversized photograph of Roosevelt's inauguration to an overall size of 26 x 34. In fine condition.
