An excerpt from King's 1981 horror novel about a rabid Saint Bernard, in full: "Cujo was getting to his feet again… dragging himself to his feet. Blood poured down his sides. His eyes flickered like lights on a defective pinball machine. And still it seemed to her that he was grinning. ‘Come on, then!’ she shrieked. He went for her neck."
