(Walt Disney Studios, 1993) Original production storyboard drawing by Jorgen Klubien of The Mayor from The Nightmare Before Christmas, which shows the bell-shaped mayor of Halloween Town in three different scenes, all of which relate to when he drives to Jack Skellington’s house to show him the plans for the next Halloween. The drawing features two handwritten captions, “I’ve got the plans…” and “I’m only an elected.” Accomplished in ink, felt tip, and graphite on an off-white 8 x 5.5 sheet, which is signed in the lower right corner, “J. Klubien.” In fine condition, with tack holes to corners. Jorgen Klubien is an animation artist and writer who is best known for working on many Disney films, including The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Lion King, A Bug's Life, Cars, and Frankenweenie.
