Description

Original vintage glossy 8 x 10 publicity photo of Marilyn Monroe wearing her show-stopping Travilla-designed gown during her performance of ‘After You Get What You Want You Don’t Want It’ in the 1954 film There's No Business Like Show Business. The reverse bears ink notations, an Andre de Dienes credit stamp, and a stamp indicating that the photo derived from the collection of Kim Goodwin, a talented makeup artist and dedicated Marilyn Monroe fan known for creating one-of-a-kind custom Marilyn Monroe dolls and for his personal collection of vintage Monroe photographs. In fine condition. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic 'Type II' photograph, circa 1970s. In 1945, de Dienes became the first photographer to shoot the young Norma Jeane as a professional model. His photos of Monroe appeared on over twenty-three magazine covers from 1945 to 1949 worldwide, with this particular photo capturing the blonde starlet at the peak of her fame.
