Original vintage glossy 7.5 x 9.25 photograph of Marilyn Monroe by Mel Traxel, which shows the actress wrapped in a white sheet and laughing in bed as she examines her Westclox alarm clock. The reverse bears a Mel Traxel photograph stamp dated February 12, 1952, and an affixed caption that reads: “Is this getting up or going to bed? Marilyn Monroe – natch! So take your choice!” In fine condition. Encapsulated by PSA as an authentic 'Type I' photograph, circa 1952. In 1952, photographer Mel Traxel shot a series of publicity photos of Marilyn Monroe that included a shot of her waking up with a Westclox alarm clock. This series captured Monroe at her Beverly Carlton Hotel apartment and during her studies at UCLA.
