Russian-born American classical pianist and composer (1903–1989) who is widely regarded as one of the greatest pianists of all time. He was acclaimed for his virtuoso technique, his tone color, and the excitement that was engendered by his playing. Semi-glossy 7.75 x 9.75 silver gelatin photo of the revered pianist by Peter Fink, signed and inscribed in the lower border in blue ballpoint, "With my best wishes to Mildred D. Salver, Vladimir Horowitz, 1975.” In fine condition, with some tiny mailing clasp impressions touching Horowitz's hair.
