Description

American chewing gum manufacturer and executive in Major League Baseball (1894–1977) who inherited both of those roles as the quiet son of his much more flamboyant father, William Wrigley Jr. TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, September 18, 1975. Letter to Leland Minter, in full: "Replying to your recent letter, I would be more than glad to comply with your request, including adding 'to Leland' except for the fact that I do not have a photograph I can autograph and send to you, simply, I guess, because I have always been allergic to photographers. However, as far as autographs go, you can, of course, use the signature of this letter for that purpose." In fine condition.
