Francis Train," one page, 10 x 8, October 14, 1869. Handwritten letter to John H. Gourlie, Jr., Esq., in part: "I comply with your request with pleasure:—Don't drink. Don't smoke. Don't chew. Don't swear. Don't gamble. Don't lie. Don't cheat. Don't steal. Love God, but don't love God so much that you have no time to love your fellow man. Be good, live virtue and you will be happy." In fine condition.
