AQS in ink, boldly signed "Wm. Lloyd Garrison, Steamer Arago, off Charleston, S.C., April 11, 1865" on an off-white 7 x 1.75 sheet. Garrison pens a rallying cry of the abolitionist movement, in full: "Liberty for each, for all, and for ever!” Displayed within an original issue of The Liberator from August 22, 1856, and framed with a portrait of Garrison to an overall size of 19.5 x 26. In fine condition. An exceptional quote from the renowned journalist and abolitionist, whose written call for universal freedom came a mere two days after the end of the Civil War.
