Jazz cornetist, jazz pianist, and composer (1903–1931) whose chronic alcoholism contributed to his death at the age of 31. Scarce vintage circa late 1920s glossy 5.25 x 3.5 real photo postcard of Paul Whiteman’s Orchestra during the 'Old Gold — Paul Whiteman Special' coast-to-coast broadcast era, signed on the reverse in fountain pen, "Bix Beiderbecke." Also signed in pencil by clarinet/saxophone player Izzy Friedman and trombonist Boyce 'Pete' Cullen. In very good to fine condition, with light staining and soiling, and the three signers circled in ink in the group photo.
