TLS, one page, 5.75 x 7.75, Golf House, Lakewood, New Jersey letterhead, July 16, 1918. Letter to his cousin, Benjamin Rockefeller, president of the Rockefeller Family Association. In full: "I thank you for your kind message on my birthday, and for the good wishes of the Rockefeller Association and yourself to my dear ones and myself. Be assured of our appreciation of the same, and of all good wishes for your and for each member of the Association." In fine condition.
The recipient, Rockefeller's cousin Benjamin Franklin Rockafellow (1835–1926), served in the Civil War, went West and fought Indians, and developed the Rockvale and Brookside mines in Colorado; for eight years, Rockafellow served as president of the Rockefeller Family Association.
