King George VI addresses "the Governor of Our Prison at Wormwood Scrubs," informing him of the pardon of Thomas Burke, "convicted of an offense against section 4(2) of the National Service Act, 1941, and sentenced to imprisonment for twelve months." Prominently signed at the head in fountain pen by King George VI. The embossed blue seal affixed at the upper left remains intact. In fine condition.
