Chatterjee, a journalist with the Associated Press of India, accepting an apology in respect to a mistake that was made in a publication. In full: "Krishadus has shown me your kind letter. I am sure you need not trouble to come here to explain anything. I know enough of journalism to appreciate the fact that errors are at times inevitable. I have dismissed the incident altogether from my mind." In fine condition, with uniform toning and a tiny stain toward the bottom edge.
Gandhi maintained a close and strategic relationship with journalists and the press, recognizing the media as a powerful tool for shaping public opinion and advancing the cause of Indian independence. He regularly wrote articles, especially in his own publications like Young India and Harijan, using them to communicate his philosophies of nonviolence and civil disobedience.
