Description

Uncommon 4.5 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Count Magri and his wife Lavinia Warren by Ollivier's Photographic Art Studio of Brooklyn, New York, signed on the mount in ink, "Compliments of Count Primo Magri from Bologna, Italy." Also signed across the top of the image by his wife, "Countess Lavinia Warren, (Mrs. General Tom Thumb), Countess Primo Magri." In very good to fine condition, with some edge toning, and Warren's handwriting on the image very faint but discernible.

Count Primo Magri (1849–1920) was the stage name of a 19th-century Italian dwarf who married Lavinia Warren (1841–1919), the widow of General Tom Thumb. They appeared together in a 1915 silent film, The Lilliputian's Courtship.
