Description

Yeats approves the "the broadcasting of the poems of mine mentioned"

TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, blindstamped 82 Merrion Square letterhead, September 21, 1923. Letter arranging publicly broadcast readings of his works, in part: "I shall be glad if you will make arrangements with the Broadcasting people for the broadcasting of the poems of mine mentioned in your letter…The terms suggested by you in the enclosed typescript are no doubt satisfactory. You wrote to me on Sept. 12th asking if I was prepared to accept a similar arrangement for the broadcasting of my one-act play 'Cathleen ni-Houlihan.' I hold the dramatic rights of that play and I shall be glad if you will make arrangements for its production." In fine condition, with a couple of light creases, and toning from prior display.
