Last chief of the Comanche and a key leader in the tribe's transition from resistance to reservation life in the late 19th century (c. 1845–1911). Exceptional original 5 x 8 albumen photograph of Comanche chief Quanah Parker, with a blacked-out area at the bottom as produced. The image is extremely sharp, revealing the intricate details of Parker's chain earrings and braided hair. In fine condition.
