Canadian-American filmmaker and studio head (1880–1960) who opened Keystone Studios, the first fully enclosed film stage, and was the originator of slapstick routines such as pie-throwing and car-chases; in 1938, he was presented with an honorary Academy Award for his contribution to film comedy. Partly-printed DS, one page both sides, 8.5 x 13, May 3, 1948. Agreement between Mack Sennett and the William Morris Agency, by which the filmmaker employs the agency as his "sole and exclusive personal representative and adviser for the term of one year," to assist in the sale or license of the property "'The Life of Mack Sennett,' including but not limited to the literary property 'Father Goose' by Gene Fowler and all other ideas, characters, characterizations, literary, dramatic and musical material and all rights therein portraying, depicting or based upon the life of Mack Sennett." Signed at the bottom of both sides in fountain pen by Mack Sennett, and countersigned by an agent; also initialed by Sennett on an attached rider. In fine condition.
