Description

Original bi-fold ‘campaign souvenir’ menu for “Vice President Dick Nixon’s 1956 Railroad Campaign Tour,” 8.5 x 11, featuring a front cover image of Richard and Pat Nixon with their daughters, Tricia and Julie, signed on the cover in ballpoint, “Dick Nixon” and “Pat Nixon.” In very good to fine condition, with light staining and general handling wear.

Accompanied by an original stapled itinerary for Nixon’s Ohio Train Tour on November 3, 1956, detailing Nixon’s scheduled nine stops, and an original mailing envelope from the Office of the Chairman Republican State Central and Executive Committee; both the itinerary and envelope are marked as belonging to Margaret B. Swisher, who writes in pencil on the envelope: “I was on train tour from Chillicothe to Cols. Pat Nixon gave me pencil.”
