ALS signed “Disraeli,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 7.5 x 9.5, April 13, 1860. Handwritten letter on political matters, in part: "I entirely approve of the Circular to the Members, but I think it had better be postponed…I return the draft of circular, with one or two verbal amendments. We had here, yesterday, a very numerous & influential meeting of the Laity & Clergy of this Ruray Deanery, to take into consideration the recommendations in the Lords' Report…They unanimously agreed, that, with our present prospect in the House of Commons, any concession or compromise would be premature." In fine condition.
