Vintage color glossy 5.75 x 4 postcard of the Royal Clarence Hotel in Exeter, England, signed on the reverse in black ballpoint, “Love, Maurice [Gibb], xx,” “Love, Robin [Gibb], (Bee Gees, xxx),” “Love, Barry [Gibb], xxx,” and “To Katie, Love Colin [Peterson], Bee Gees,” and in blue ballpoint, “Hi, Vince Melouney.” The postcard is also signed by their manager, Dick Ashby. The consignor notes that the autographs were obtained at the Royal Clarence when the group was staying in the city to perform at the Odeon Theatre on April 26, 1968. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks and a letter of provenance from the original recipient: ‘‘In 1968 I was employed as a receptionist at the Royal Clarence Hotel in Exeter. The Bee Gees were appearing at the Exeter Odeon Theatre on 26 April and were staying overnight at the Royal Clarence Hotel in Cathedral Close. During the Bee Gees' stay Maurice Gibb needed his shirt ironed, so I was 'lucky' enough to do that!”
