Penned on “Monday evening,” a handwritten letter from Hugo inviting his correspondent to a special dinner, in full (translated): “This word will reach you this evening at eleven o'clock, my dear friend, and you must come and have dinner with us tomorrow evening, I have an enormous reason for that, it is an enormous turkey with truffles. See you tomorrow then, isn't it? At seven o'clock sharp - military time. Your friend.” In fine condition, with multiple intersecting folds.
