Description

“Geno – The best of luck on your second visit! Dick Gordon"—bon voyage from a fellow astronaut shortly before the launch of the Apollo 17 mission

Official color semi-glossy 13.75 x 10.75 NASA photo of the Lunar Module Intrepid soaring high above the moon’s surface during the Apollo 12 mission, affixed to its original 20 x 16 presentation mount, which is signed and inscribed in black felt tip, “Geno – The best of luck on your second visit! Dick Gordon.” The mount reverse is marked in felt tip, “GC-0547.” In fine condition, with toning from prior display. A visually appealing association piece between fellow members of NASA Astronaut Group 3, signed by Gordon not long before Cernan became forever known as ‘the last man on the moon.’
