(Hanna-Barbera Studios, 1991) Original pan production drawing by artist Bob Singer for the Hanna-Barbera limited edition cel ‘Theme Park,’ which features an impressive total of 26 iconic cartoon characters enjoying rides at an amusement park, with the night sky filled with lights and exploding fireworks. The preliminary drawing, which is accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on 22 x 9.25 animation paper, depicts characters like the Flintstones and the Rubbles, the Jetsons, Top Cat and pals, Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Hound, and more, with Singer signing in the lower right and adding names to several characters in the borders. The total image measures 19.5 x 5.75. In fine condition, with some creasing and trimmed edges. Accompanied by a printed image of the final limited edition cel. In the 1990s, Hanna-Barbera became famous for releasing themed very large, hand-painted limited edition cels that showcased their many stars. One of the earliest examples was ‘Theme Park,’ which was signed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera and sold out almost immediately.
