ALS signed "Yours faithfully, Arthur Conan Doyle," one page, 5 x 7, no date but published in the Daily Express of October 23, 1926, under the heading: 'Freak Flints.' Handwritten letter sent from his "Psychic Bookshop, Victoria-street, S.W.," in full: "It should be stated that among the flint figures furnished by Mr. Clark there are many markings which closely reproduce numerals and alphabetical letters. These seem to me to complicate a problem which was sufficiently complicated already, since, if they are not purely accidental, they would point a modern cause for the markings. The freak or accidental explanation of the most obvious, but when we note this extreme accuracy of the detail in the outlines it also presents serious difficulties." In very good to fine condition, with some light creasing, and a couple of extra folds.
