Thanks for asking me to speak at the Library, but my Lecture schedule is full until January 1st. Will you drop me a note again, come January or February, and ask me by for some later lecture date in 1970? I would like to help out, and we can surely arrange a date after New Years. Looking forward.” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
The Illustrated Man is a 1969 science fiction film based on three short stories from Bradbury’s 1951 collection of the same name. Directed by Jack Smight, the film stars Rod Steiger as a man whose tattoos on his body represent visions of frightening futures. Per Bradbury: ‘Rod was very good in it, but it wasn't a good film…the script was terrible.’
