Vintage glossy 2.75 x 4.5 candid photo of Louis with a young admirer, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Frank, Best wishes, Joe Louis, 8/23/37." Louis attained the world heavyweight title on June 22, 1937, and held it until his retirement a decade later. In very good condition, with scattered small creases. A unique snapshot photo, signed in his first months as heavyweight champ.
