DS as president, two pages, 8.25 x 13.25, April 9, 1900. Official authorization from President McKinley, in part: “Know Ye, that I hereby authorize William P. Lord, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the United States at Buenos Aires, to effect with any person or persons duly authorized thereto by the Government of the Argentine Republic, the exchange of my ratification for that of the Government aforesaid, of the Convention for the Extradition of Criminals between the United States and the Argentine Republic, concluded at Buenos Aires, September 26, 1896.” Signed at the conclusion by William McKinley and countersigned by Secretary of State John Hay. The original embossed seal remains affixed to the second page. In very good to fine condition, with brushing to end of signature, and scattered toning.
