Ink signatures of Queen Elizabeth II, “Elizabeth R.,” and Prince Philip, “Philip,” on an off-white 7.5 x 9.5 guest book sheet headed at the top, “Launch of H.M.S. ‘Lancaster’ 24th May, 1990.” The reverse bears several other signatures from attendees of the event. In fine condition. The HMS Lancaster, a Duke-class Type 23 frigate of the Royal Navy, was launched by Queen Elizabeth II on May 24, 1990. The ship is known as ‘The Queen's Frigate,’ the Duke of Lancaster being a subsidiary title of the Sovereign.
