Letter to publisher Tadeusz Murek, in full: “Many thanks for your letter of December 19 which I have just received as I have been away for Christmas. Of course I remember my interview with you and you can use it where you like. I hope you manage to continue your studies in French. I have only just today finished the last novel and I don't like it very much! All good wishes to Eva and you for the New Year.” In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Greene’s 26th and final novel, The Captain and the Enemy, was published by Reindhart Books the following year in 1988. Though he abandoned the novel format, Greene continued to write until he passed from leukemia at the age of 86 in 1991.
