Description

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Pennsylvania (1725–1777) who also chaired the committee that wrote the Articles of Confederation. Ink signature, "John Morton, Sheriff,” on an off-white 5.5 x 3 slip clipped from a legal document, annotated in pencil, "May 1, 1767." Professionally inlaid into a slightly larger sheet and in fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
