Uncommon ALS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, November 10, 1986. Handwritten letter to "Henry," presumably Oklahoma Governor-elect Henry Bellmon. In full: "The Senate was a downer but your big win gave us all a lift. With 24 governors we have a solid base for 1988. Pat joins me in extending our congratulations." In very fine condition.
A veteran of World War II, Henry Bellmon served as governor of Oklahoma from 1963 to 1967, was the national chairman for Richard Nixon's presidential election campaign, and we re-elected as governor of Oklahoma in 1986, serving a single term from 1987 to 1991.
