TLS, one page, 6.75 x 8.75, White House letterhead, March 20, 1972. Letter to Paul Carr, assistant principal of Herbert Hoover High School, in full: "You were particularly kind to send me a letter that I wrote as Vice President in 1954, and which you later purchased for your collection of special mementos. I want to thank you for your generous gesture and to express my deep appreciation for the timely thought that led you to remember me in this meaningful way." The letter bears a secretarial signature in black, but was later authentically signed and inscribed in the lower border in blue felt tip, "To Martha S.
